Description:Summary
Event 360 is seeking a proven, quota-carrying sales performer to help us grow our nonprofit customer base. The Business Development Director will be responsible for selling our event fundraising consulting and technology services through channel partners (including Blackbaud and Convio) and directly to nonprofit organizations in an assigned geographic area.

This position reports directly to the VP, Sales & Marketing and is classified as exempt. This person will be based out of the selected candidates home-office which must be located in either Washington, DC (DC and local Virginia residents only), Austin, TX or Chicago, IL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Duties:Responsibilities:
All of the typical duties of a professional services direct and channel sales professional will be expected:

� Building, maintaining and leveraging relationships at all levels within the partner organization, from individual sales executives to sales and partner managers;
� Conduct territory planning, pipeline development, prospecting, lead qualification, account planning, managing the sales cycle and closing business quickly, efficiently and ethically;
� Deliver effective one-on-one, small group and large group presentations;
� Lead and participate in win/loss strategy sessions, account planning, and developing and executing plans for client visits;
� Actively involved in proposal formulation; partner with consulting, finance and legal to position solution that meets buyer's needs;
� Identifies client's business needs and influences development of the Request for Proposal to the advantage of Event 360.

Qualifications:Required Skills/Experience:
Beyond a passion for professional services sales, candidates should possess the following qualities:
� You are a linchpin: you�re not waiting for instructions, but instead, figuring out what to do next;
� You are a task master who thinks and behaves strategically and has a proven aptitude for leadership;
� You have experience in and love the challenge of prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle, negotiating contracts and closing business;
� You have strong presentation skills and are a very competent writer of proposals, statements of work, and related sales materials;
� You are highly analytical: you thrive in data-driven organizations;
� You have knowledge of nonprofit fundraising and marketing or are interested in learning how to think like a fundraiser and marketer;
� You are interested in experiential marketing and fundraising, and specifically how nonprofits can use events to connect with their target audience;
� You have experience with nonprofit software systems (Convio, Blackbaud, Salesforce.com, Artez, etc.);
� High integrity; reputation for strong character and impeccable ethics;
� Experience selling to nonprofit organizations is preferred;
� Proven resourcefulness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

� Normal weekly workload is between 40-50 hours, but may commonly require long hours including evening and/or weekend hours throughout the year, depending on client/company needs;
